For many people, the shape and contour of the upper legs become an issue as aging occurs. Excess skin and fat cells often enlarge the thighs, making people look older and less fit than they actually are. In many cases, this damages self-confidence. A healthy diet and exercise can sometimes help, but in some cases the issue is genetic, making it difficult to slim and tone this area of the body.
An outer thigh lift is a popular procedure that will help reshape the thighs, leading to a slimmer, more youthful figure. The procedure involves removing excess skin and fat cells, which tightens the thighs up, providing a more natural contour and shape.
Toronto Plastic Surgeon Dr. Daniel Martin and his first-class team of staff have decades of combined experience in outer thigh lifts. They are here to help you achieve results that boost your self-confidence and quality of life. Beginning the process with Dr. Martin and his team in Toronto is simple. After you’ve contacted his office, they’ll book a personal consultation. The consultation is a chance for you to meet Dr. Martin and ask him any questions you have regarding the surgery. How long does it take to recover?
During the recovery process, it’s important to follow Dr. Martins post-operative directions and attend all follow-up appointments. Combined with plenty of rest, you should recover well.
Directly after the surgery, you will be placed in a compression garment to help minimize swelling and hold your thighs to their new shape. This garment will need to be worn for up to four weeks. During the first two weeks of the recovery process, it’s important to limit all exercise, engaging in only very light activities. The swelling subsides after 3-5 weeks at which point you will be able to return to work and gentle exercise. The recovery process will be complete after 8 weeks.
